Highland Estates, a new 84-unit senior development located in Rome, Georgia held their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday, January 30th, 2017. The low-income housing tax credit community was built by Fairway Construction Co., Inc.

Attendees included Laura Hart, from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Shannon Johnson, the Highland Estates Property Manager and Randy Fleece, of Gateway Management.

Fifty four of the 84 units are located inside the main community, while 30 single-story villa homes are located around the multistory building. The community offers many amenities, such as a movie theatre, fitness center and a business center. Resident Brenda Posey says, “It is quiet, it is a home-like experience…it is close to the hospitals, close to the shopping centers. I love it.”
