Vandeventer Place Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Vandeventer Place, a new low income housing tax credit development located in St. Louis, Missouri, held their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Attendees included Senator Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson and many other St. Louis community partners, friends and Vandeventer Place residents.

The new development offers 54 spacious one and two bedroom apartment homes starting at $430 per month. All utilities are included in this price. Each apartment has modern conveniences including a full-kitchen with Energy Star Appliances, window coverings, hardwood-style flooring and a washer and dryer.

Vandeventer Place has 15,000 square feet of community space comprised of a furnished community building, business center, fitness center and movie theater. Additionally, the community has a beautifully landscaped courtyard complete with a community garden and a patio seating area.

The Missouri Housing Development Commission, Simmons Bank and Affordable Equity Partners, Inc. are among the participants and partners that developed this community.

Vandeventer Place is home to many seniors who would otherwise be homeless.

The event opened up into Vandeventer Place’s outdoor patio.

Vandeventer Place residents were excited to attend the ceremony and recognize causes dear to their hearts.
