Worst Case Housing Needs 2017 Report
On August 9, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) published its Worst Case Housing Needs 2017 Report. In this report, they found that 8.3 million households in America are considered “worst case housing,” meaning that 8.3 million unassisted very low income households in America spend more than half of their income on housing, live in severely substandard housing, or both. Not only is this statistic alarming in itself, but it also shows that the number of households experiencing worst case housing has increased by 41 percent since 2007 and 66 percent since 2001.
Affordable Equity Partners is dedicated to helping lower the statistics of worst case households in America and continues to commit to providing affordable housing for those who need it.
